Shipping and Delivery Methods

Small Item Shipping

Small items, such as accessories or smaller components, are delivered via ground carriers like UPS or FedEx. These items will be delivered to your door or mailbox based on standard delivery practices.

  • Shipping timeframes for small items are 5–10 business days after the lead time indicated on the product page.
  • These timeframes are based on estimates provided by the shipping carrier, and specific delivery times cannot be guaranteed.
  • Disclaimer: Rainbow Play of NC will not be held liable for items that require longer delivery times than what is suggested by the carrier or listed as the manufacturer’s lead time. Customers are encouraged to anticipate possible delays when placing their orders.

Large Item Shipping

Large items, including Rainbow Play Systems, Basketball Goals, Trampolines, and safety surfacing materials like rubber mulch, are shipped via LTL (Less-than-Truckload) Freight.

Details for LTL Freight Shipping:

① Curbside Delivery Only:

  • Items are palletized and dropped curbside. Customers are responsible for moving the items from the delivery point to their location.

② Customer Equipment or Assistance:

  • Customers must provide equipment like a pallet jack or forklift or arrange for additional manpower to move items from the drop-off zone.

③ Delivery Scheduling:

  • The freight carrier will contact the customer with a suggested delivery window. Delivery timeframes are determined by mutual agreement between the customer and the carrier.

④ Customer Presence Required:

  • Someone must be present to accept, inspect, and sign for the delivery.

⑤ Failed Delivery Attempts:

  • If the customer is unavailable during the scheduled time, the freight carrier may charge fees for rescheduling. Additional delivery services beyond curbside may also incur fees.

⑥ Timeframes and Disclaimers:

  • Shipping timeframes for large items are based on the manufacturer’s lead time listed on the product page, plus an additional 2–3 weeks for freight shipping.
  • All timeframes provided are estimates only. Rainbow Play of NC cannot guarantee specific delivery dates and is not liable for delays caused by the carrier or extended manufacturer lead times.

Delivery and Installation Services

We offer professional delivery and installation services for Rainbow Play Systems, Trampolines, and Basketball Goals.

Details About Delivery and Installation:

① Scheduling and Coordination:

  • Once your order is ready, we will contact you to schedule delivery and installation. Scheduling is based on the product lead time listed on the product page and mutual availability.

② Service Area and Surcharge:

  • Delivery and installation services are limited to North Carolina. For locations outside a 25-mile radius of our store, a surcharge of $3.50 per mile applies.

③ Delivery Timeframes and Disclaimers:

  • Delivery and installation timeframes are based on the manufacturer’s lead time plus any additional handling time. All provided timeframes are estimates and cannot be guaranteed.
  • Rainbow Play of NC is not liable for delays caused by the carrier or extended production schedules by the manufacturer.

Safety Surfacing Delivery

  • Safety surfacing materials, such as rubber mulch pallets, rubber timbers, and rubber play mats, are shipped separately via LTL Freight and delivered as curbside drop-off only.
  • The freight carrier will contact the customer directly to coordinate delivery. Customers must provide appropriate unloading equipment or manpower to receive these items.

Important Notes

  • Once products are delivered and installed, no refunds or returns will be offered. Please see our Returns & Exchanges Policy for more details.
  • Rainbow Play of NC offers a full-service safety surfacing installation service, which includes the installation of ground barriers, borders, rubber nugget mulch, and final product setup. This service is request-based and must be arranged via our Contact Us Now form for safety surfacing service.

Shipping Timeframes and Potential Delays

  • Ground Shipping for Small Items takes approximately 5–10 business days after the lead time listed on the product page.
  • LTL Freight Shipping for Large Items adds an additional 2–3 weeks beyond the manufacturer’s listed lead time on the product page.

All timeframes provided are estimates only and subject to delays beyond our control. Rainbow Play of NC strives to meet these timelines but does not guarantee any delivery dates.

Disclaimer: Rainbow Play of NC is not liable for delays caused by shipping carriers, manufacturer production schedules, weather events, or unforeseen circumstances. Please plan accordingly when placing your order to account for possible delays.

Customer Responsibilities

To ensure a smooth shipping and delivery process, customers must:

① Be Available for Scheduled Delivery:

  • A responsible party must be present at the scheduled time to inspect and accept the shipment.

② Prepare for Unloading:

  • Customers are responsible for providing appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jack, forklift) or sufficient manpower to relocate items delivered to the curbside. Rainbow Play of NC does not assist with moving items beyond the delivery location.

③ Inspect Items Upon Delivery:

  • Before signing for the shipment, customers must inspect all delivered items for damage or missing components. Any issues should be reported immediately to the freight driver and our customer service team.
  • Failure to inspect items at the time of delivery may result in waived claims for damages or shortages.

④ Arrange for Relocation of Items:

  • Items delivered curbside must be moved to their final location by the customer at their own expense.

Legal Disclaimers

Rainbow Play of NC includes the following disclaimers to protect both parties:

① Liability for Delays:

  • Shipping times are based on carrier and manufacturer schedules. Rainbow Play of NC is not responsible for delays caused by third-party carriers, weather conditions, production changes, or other external factors.

② Product Condition:

  • Items are inspected prior to shipment to ensure quality standards. Customers must report any visible damage or lost items immediately upon delivery. Rainbow Play of NC is not liable for damages occurring during transit.

③ Customer Negligence:

  • Failure to adhere to delivery requirements (e.g., being unavailable during the scheduled delivery window or failing to provide necessary unloading equipment) may result in additional fees or forfeiture of certain rights, such as warranty claims.

④ Lead Time Estimates:

  • Manufacturer lead times listed on product pages are estimates and can change based on production schedules or supplier constraints. Customers are encouraged to consider these variables when placing an order.

⑤ No Discounts for Delays:

  • Rainbow Play of NC does not provide discounts or refunds for items that exceed the manufacturer’s suggested lead time listed on the product page or the carrier’s stated delivery timeframe. By placing an order, customers acknowledge and accept this policy.

Curbside Deliveries for Safety Surfacing and Additional Items

All safety surfacing, including rubber mulch, timbers, and mats, will be shipped via LTL Freight. These deliveries are conducted under the following conditions:

  • Items are palletized and delivered to the curbside using trucks equipped with lift gates.
  • Customers are responsible for providing the necessary equipment for unloading and moving items beyond the curbside.

In-Store Pickup

We also offer in-store pickup from our location at 8732 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27617.

Pickup Instructions:

① Contact and Scheduling:

  • Once your items are ready, we will notify you. For unscheduled pickups, contact us at least one business day in advance to ensure your order is available.

② Transportation Requirements:

  • Customers must bring a vehicle suitable for safely transporting their items.
  • Vehicle Suitability Clause: Customers who fail to bring a suitable vehicle may be turned away from picking up their items or required to sign a release form, acknowledging that they are fully responsible for any damages, issues, or safety concerns resulting from their use of an unsuitable vehicle against Rainbow Play of NC’s advice.
  • By signing the release form, the customer agrees that Rainbow Play of NC is not liable for any incidents, property damage, or personal harm that may occur as a result of their transportation decisions.
  • Rainbow Play of NC reserves the right to refuse loading for vehicles deemed unsafe or unsuitable.

③ Verification:

  • At the time of pickup, customers must inspect their items and sign to confirm their condition and completeness.
